What it does

Three things, running at once.

Space

Real rear imaging from a stereo feed

Games hand you a two-channel downmix. Wavelinkth pulls the positioned sounds back out of it — separating a real source from room reverb, and recovering front-versus-behind from the phase relationship the game's own spatial audio left in the mix.

Time

Every speaker fires on the same clock

Each chunk of audio is stamped with the exact moment it must leave the speaker. A packet that arrives late gets dropped rather than played late, because a sound in the wrong place is worse than a sound missing.

Light

The room reacts to what happened

Gunfire snaps the lights red in 15 ms. Explosions bloom orange and fall away slowly. Footsteps pulse a low grey. Every cue is tuned separately, and you can retune all of it.

Built for shooters

Footsteps are the whole game.

Telling a footstep from a gunshot is the hardest part of this problem and the most valuable thing to get right. A gun is an impulse — broadband, violent, bright. A boot on concrete is a damped thud with almost nothing above 4 kHz. Wavelinkth tests for the difference explicitly, then treats them completely differently.

Lifted, not buried

Footsteps get pushed well above where the game left them and cleaned up so they cut through gunfire — then placed on the speaker they actually came from. You hear the direction before you see anything.

Gunfire

Hits harder, reads instantly

Shots get emphasised and widened toward the rear speakers, so being shot from behind feels like being shot from behind. The lights flash the same direction.

Comms

Voice stays put

Teammates and dialogue lock to the centre speaker instead of smearing across the room, so callouts stay clear while everything else moves.

How it works

Three steps, nothing to install in your game.

It taps your PC's output

Wavelinkth reads the exact mix your PC is already playing. No microphone listening to your room, no virtual audio cable, no driver install, and nothing to configure inside the game.

It splits and steers

The mix is broken apart by direction and by event, then aimed at whichever speakers sit closest to where the sound belongs — whatever ring of speakers you happen to own.

It sends audio and light together

Each speaker gets its own timed stream over your network, and the light cue rides alongside it, so the flash lands with the sound instead of chasing it.
